DUI Cases in Gainesville, Georgia
Have you been arrested for a DUI in Gainesville, Georgia? If so, your first court appearance (which should be listed on your traffic ticket) may be in the Gainesville Municipal Court. If you are arrested by the City of Gainesville Police, then your first court date will likely be in the Gainesville Municipal Court (as long as you are not charged with any felonies in connection with your DUI arrest-Hall County Superior Court has jurisdiction over felony cases in Hall County). Your first court appearance may also be in the State Court of Hall County. If you are arrested for DUI by the Georgia State Patrol or the Hall County Sheriff's Office, then your first court date will be in the Hall County State Court.  If you are only charged with DUI and other misdemeanor offenses and you want to proceed to jury trial in your Gainesville, Georgia DUI case, your trial will be in the State Court of Hall County regardless of whether your first appearance is in the Gainesville Municipal Court.
  • Bill Hardman has represented many clients with DUI cases and traffic offenses in Gainesville Municipal Court, Hall County State Court and the Hall County Superior Court
  • Bill has represented clients with accident DUI cases in Hall County. It is important to understand all of the facts and challenges to your DUI case.
  • You may have legal challenges to your DUI charge. You should have your case reviewed by an experienced Georgia DUI attorney so that they can analyze all of the facts and evidence. Innocent people are arrested for DUI frequently and should have a lawyer review the case so that all of the evidence can be brought to the attention of the prosecutor before your case goes to trial. If your case cannot be closed without a trial, you need an experienced DUI attorney to make all of your arguments at trial so the jury will understand why they should find you not guilty of DUI.
  • In all DUI cases, it is important to speak with a Georgia DUI attorney as soon as possible after your arrest to minimize the potential consequences in your case. Any DUI conviction in the State of Georgia carries minimum jail time and suspensions of your Georgia Driver's License.
